In the management policy of the plant by Calenia, which makes up an important factor for economical development in Campania, from the beginning great importance was placed on having good relations in the area.
Calenia Energia has been an opportunity to increase local jobs: during the building site phase 300 workmen were employed, with peaks of even up to 600 people, mainly using companies situated in the local, provincial and regional council areas.
In the current phase, that of running the plant, Calenia Energia has taken on more than 30 employees directly, while another 60 people work in the allied industries giving services to the plant.
In compensation, Calenia Energia drew up with the Sparanise council, a conventional agreement which is committed to increasing economic and social development in the area, supporting various charitable initiatives for the residing community.
The importance of the plant in the area is also a witness to the fact that, its power covers a large part of the energy demand in Campania.
